This is the artwork documentation website of Brooklyn-based freelance photographer Paul Takeuchi.

I have been photographing artist's creations for over 20 years, from the dead greats, to the living masters, to mid-career Guggenheim fellows, to emerging artists. My images have been used in coffee-table art books, exhibition catalogs, giant museum banners, and on postcards, posters, and websites. Scores of talented art students have used my high quality images of their work to get into prestigious MFA programs. I've also helped many artists win grants and land art colony residency fellowships.

How It Works

I can come to your studio or you can bring your work to mine. After I set up and calibrate my lights and camera system, each of your artworks are captured with my high resolution digital back, using the highest quality lenses. These RAW camera files are then processed on my studio imaging workstation. Each of your captures are:

  • color-corrected
  • straightened
  • cropped

I also remove obvious blemishes and large dust that might be in the background at no extra charge. Final files are usually ready via Dropbox within 5-7 business days after the shoot.
